When does supplier engagement begin?

We launch the supplier engagement campaign right after kick-off. Our platform supports outreach, follow-up, and data collection—targeting your full supplier list over a 12-week campaign.

Do we need to contact suppliers ourselves?

No. Once you approve the supplier list, we handle the outreach. Our team combines AI-driven automation with human follow-up to ensure high response rates and minimal workload for your team.

Which suppliers are contacted?

We start with a hotspot analysis of your Scope 3 emissions, focusing first on the top 20% of suppliers that account for 80% of your footprint. These high-impact suppliers receive hands-on support. The remaining suppliers—who contribute less to your total emissions—are engaged through an automated workflow to submit their data efficiently.

How much effort does this require from my suppliers?

Very little. We use AI to extract data from public sources like sustainability, SBTi targets and general company information. We are also able to bulk upload PCFs. In most cases, all that’s needed from your suppliers is a 30–60 minute call to validate the data and confirm what they’re comfortable sharing. We keep the process as light as possible.

What if my suppliers dont have data?

No problem. Our onboarding specialists guide your suppliers through the process and explain the value of calculating their carbon footprint. ClimateCamp also provides free tools and resources to help them get started. We also offer paid solutions where we provide hands-on support and guidance to a segment or all of your suppliers to reach a desired carbon maturity level.

Is the information we share kept confidential?

Yes — our relationship as well as the one with your suppliers is covered under a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Any information you provide, including supplier contact details, emissions data, or internal documents, is treated as strictly confidential. We will only use this information to support your carbon footprint calculation and supplier engagement efforts, and we will never share it externally without your explicit permission. Data access is limited to authorized ClimateCamp personnel involved in your project.
